Seungyoon & Sandara Park star in ‘We Broke Up’, 2015

We Broke Up is a South Korean web drama series based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, starring Sandara Park and Kang Seungyoon. It was produced jointly by YG K-Plus, CJ E&M Digital Studio and Story Plant and broadcast from 29 June – 17 July, 2015 and consisted of 10 Episodes.

The web-drama was a smashing success, amassing over 16 million views, We Broke Up was the 4th most-viewed web-drama of 2015!!

Kang Seungyoon was nominated and awarded ‘Best Actor’ for his role as Ji Won-yeong by K-web Fest. The cast of the show held a personal ‘Thank-You mini concert’ on August 17, 2015. We Broke Up was also invited to be screened at the 21st Geneva International Film Festival, becoming the first of its kind to do so. The cast was also interviewed for 1st LOOK and Elle Korea magazines.

Seungyoon also composed all the OSTs used in the show: O+1, We Broke Up, Two of Us.

The Story:

Ji Won Yeong (Kang Seungyoon) is an aspiring musician and the lead singer of a band while No Woo Ri (Sandara Park) works at a fashion company. The couple lives together. Over years as the relationship sours, they decide to break up. However, due to complications with the apartment security deposit, the two have no choice but to continue living together as roommates.

The story looks at long, aged relationships, where even though the couple has broken up and are trying to move on, they miss each other. Every time they look at each other there is a spark even though they wish to deny it.
