Seungyoon makes cameo appearance as legendary badminton athlete Kang Taeseon on SBS drama “Racket Boys”

Kang Seungyoon made a special appearance in SBS drama “Racket Boys”!

“Racket Boys” is a coming-of-age drama about a young group of aspiring athletes in a rural town who chase their dreams of becoming badminton stars.

On June 8, the producers of the drama confirmed that Kang Seungyoon—who is currently also gearing up to star in “Voice 4“—would be making a special appearance in an upcoming episode. The singer-turned-actor previously worked with “Racket Boys” writer Jung Bo Hoon on the drama “Prison Playbook,” which brought about his upcoming cameo.

By the end of the 12th episode, it was revealed that Seungyoon will be playing Kang Taeseon, an alumni of Haenam Middle School who brought back to back badminton championships to the school and eventually became the youngest national youth athlete! However, due to a controversy 10 years ago which will be unfolded in later episodes, he is forced to leave the national team. Now older, he came back seeking for a sweet “revenge”.

Sometime in May, Seungyoon was actually spotted playing badminton.
