While the title song ‘Remember’ from WINNER’s 3rd album is dominating music charts in and out of Korean and receiving positive reviews, the group’s sincere making film for the song has been revealed.
On April 10 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the MV making film for ‘Remember’ through their official blog.
WINNER looked more sincere than ever, in the revealed video clip. The filming scene was filled with treasure-like photos that contain WINNER’s past 6 years of history, while the members looked at them to express the ponderous emotions of ‘Remember’ in detail.
HOONY stated, “It’s meaningful that our photos taken since debut are being used for the MV. I would say it shows us the way we are the most among all MVs we’ve filmed. It’s touching”.
MINO explained, “It’s a song that contains our hopes that us WINNER would like to stay with Inner Circle(fans) forever. We tried to put in our sincere emotions”.
The MV also presented leader YOON’s handwritten letter for the fans, grabbing the attention of viewers. He expressed the members as ‘my brothers’ and wrote, ‘Thank you so much, and I love you’.
He also continued, “These are songs we worked on while reminiscing our memories with Inner Circle*fans)” and JINU hoped, “Please recite the messages contained in the songs”.
The title song ‘Remember’ from WINNER’s 3rd full album presents a lyrical guitar riff added with MINO’s unique emotional melody and lyrics. It is a Ballad track written and composed by MINO, while YG producers Kang Uk Jin and Diggy participated in the composing and arrangement of the song to raise its level of completeness.
The song was released on the 9th at 6 PM and topped 5 major Korean music charts on the same day. In addition to the title song, all tracks listed on the album entered the chart, proving the group’s influence as ‘WINNER you trust and listen to’.
The global fans are also showing enthusiastic responses. ‘Remember’ topped iTunes charts in 20 different countries, in addition to the K-Pop and Pop charts of iTunes Japan and China QQ Music’s Daily Digital Album Sales chart.
The hashtag ‘REMEMBERWINNER’ also became the no. 1 worldwide trend on Twitter after the album was released, proving WINNER’s global influence.
