The newbie group WINNER, under the instruction of BIGBANG, made an attempt at impersonating YANG HYUN SUK, the founder of YG.
On WINNER TV aired through Mnet on Jan 17, WINNER kicked off their preparation for being on variety show with the help of BIGBANG, when BIGBANG finished their Japan concert.
BIGBANG was keen to teach the newbies how to be good entertainers. SEUNGRI tested WINNER members’ individual quirks by saying that T.O.P attracted so much attention by impersonating Yoon Mun Shik, an actor.
But as WINNER’s work was unsatisfactory, G-DRAGON commented, “You have to fulfill the image public has of you,” explaining, “DAESUNG looked like he would be good on variety shows, and he was, and TAEYANG looks like a good dancer, and he is.”
So WINNER tried to impersonate YANG HYUN SUK. Each ember, KANG SEUNGYOON, SONG MINHO, KIM JINWOO, NAM TAEHYUN and LEE SEUNGHOON tried, but could not satisfy BIGBANG. SEUNGRI jumped in to show a perfect one, and everyone burst out laughing.
WINNER TV is a third in the YG-designed TV series that produces the next big star, following Mnet’s BIGBANG TV and 2NE1 TV, all of which changed the paradigm of TV broadcasting.
